Jaire Alexander will get another week to get back into peak physical shape, as the Ravens cornerback is inactive for a second straight game on "Monday Night Football" versus the Detroit Lions.

The cornerback went through a pre-game warmup, just like last week, and was a full practice participant throughout the week. He wasn't on the team's injury report.

"He's doing great, and going to be [playing] sooner, rather than later," Head Coach John Harbaugh said Saturday. "He's practicing, and it's coming along really well. He's chomping at the bit for sure, and I just want to be fair to him and do the right thing."

The Ravens will be short-handed on "Monday Night Football" without their sack leaders from each of the past two seasons. Outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy (hamstring) and defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike (neck) were two of the four Ravens ruled out Friday.

Van Noy had 12.5 sacks last season and Madubuike had 13 in 2023. That leaves Baltimore in a tougher position trying to stop the Lions' dynamic rushing attack and get pressure on Lions quarterback Jared Goff.

Outside linebacker David Ojabo is active for the first time this season and will join a young pass rusher group looking to get after Goff. The Ravens called up veteran defensive end Brent Urban from the practice squad to bolster the trenches with Madubuike out.

Fullback Patrick Ricard (calf) and tight end Isaiah Likely (foot) will miss their third straight game to begin the season. Zaire Mitchell-Paden was also called up for a third time to play a hybrid tight end/fullback role.

Running back Keaton Mitchell is a scratch for the third straight week as Rasheen Ali continues to handle kickoff return duties.

All four questionable Lions starters will play: linebacker Jack Campbell (ankle), left tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder), safety Kerby Joseph (knee), and cornerback D.J. Reed (knee). Defensive end Marcus Davenport (chest) was ruled out.
