New Head Coach Jesse Minter is ready to soak up the fun as an Orioles fan.
Minter will assume the role of "Mr. Splash" during the bottom of the second inning at Orioles Opening Day against the Minnesota Twins at Camden Yards on Thursday.
"Mr. Splash" is an Orioles mascot who sprays fans in sections 84 and 86 with a hose anytime the Orioles get an extra-base hit. The spray zone in left field is known as the "Bird Bath."
Minter is the second Raven to be a "guest splasher" since the Orioles introduced the ritual in 2023. Long snapper Nick Moore served as an honorary "Mr. Splash" last summer for Father's Day. Other previous guests include Maryland Governor Wes Moore and Orioles legend Cal Ripken Jr.
The Orioles will take on the Twins at 3:05 p.m. Thursday as they aim to return to the playoffs.
