Media Advisory: Ravens Host TriRavens Tournament at M&T Bank Stadium

Ravens Host TriRavens Tournament at M&T Bank Stadium

The Baltimore Ravens will host their first-ever TriRavens Tournament at M&T Bank Stadium on Tuesday (10/18) as part of the 2011 NFL/United Way Hometown Huddle. Approximately 100 youth will complete various tasks loosely based on the TriWizard Tournament from the popular children's series Harry Potter. These tasks will integrate educational programming and physical activity stations in conjunction with Play 60, the NFL movement for an active generation.

Selected students from Baltimore's Federal Hill Preparatory School will participate in challenges such as "Quidditch," "Dragon Egg Challenge," "Broom Hockey" and "Kickball" as part of the tournament. All participants will receive a special Ravens backpack filled with healthy snacks donated by United Way of Central Maryland and a Ravens water bottle. After the tournament, a celebratory lunch will also be held at the stadium.

Ravens players, including CB Chykie Brown, WR Tandon Doss, DB Danny Gorrer, FB Vonta Leach, LB Jameel McClain and CB Cary Williams, will join Ravens cheerleaders, official mascot Poe and close to 75 volunteers (from M&T Bank, United Way and the Lady Ravens Association) in facilitating the activities and guiding youth participants.

An NFL initiative, the Hometown Huddle is a day of hands-on activity that will be celebrated by all 32 teams across the nation in conjunction with United Way.
