The Ravens' season has come to a close, and a new era of the franchise with a new head coach is underway
As the Super Bowl approaches, here are important offseason dates to know:
Feb. 23-March 2: NFL Scouting Combine
The Ravens front office and first-year head coach will make the trek to Indianapolis to see the top prospects up close and personal. General Manager Eric DeCosta and whoever the Ravens' next head coach is will speak to reporters and likely meet with agents of the team's pending free agents.
March 3: Franchise tag deadline
Teams can designate franchise or transition players beginning Feb. 17.
March 9-11: Free agency window opens
DeCosta and the Ravens' front office can begin contract negotiations with players' agents. Deals can't be finalized, but terms are often reported as agreed upon during the two-day window.
March 11: New league year begins
At 4 p.m. ET, all free-agent deals can be finalized.
March 29-April 1: Annual League Meeting
NFL owners and executives will convene in Phoenix, Ariz., to discuss big-picture league matters, rule changes, etc. Every head coach will also meet with the media during a coaches breakfast.
April 6: Offseason workout programs begin
The Ravens will hold their offseason workout programs two weeks earlier than many other teams since they will have a first-year head coach.
April 17: Deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets
The Ravens' lone restricted free agent is running back Keaton Mitchell, who they likely try to retain.
April 23-25: NFL Draft
The Ravens hold the No. 14 pick in this year's draft, held in Pittsburgh. The last time Baltimore had the No. 14 pick, it took All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton.
May 1: Fifth-year Option Deadline
The Ravens can pick up Zay Flowers' fifth-year option if they don't reach an extension before the deadline. According to Over the Cap, Flowers' fifth-year option is valued at $28.1 million after he made his second Pro Bowl this season.
May 1-4 or May 8-11: Rookie minicamp
Teams will get their first on-field work with their rookie classes.
June 1: Cuts deadline
If Baltimore wants to release any veteran players, June 1 is the last day to do so to keep all the dead money coming from that release counting against the 2026 salary cap. If released after this day, the dead cap hit is spread over two years.
July 15: Franchise tag deadline
This is the deadline for a player who receives the franchise or transition tag to sign a long-term deal before they are locked into playing on the tag for one season.
