M&T Bank, Legg Mason and Constellation Energy are challenging all companies in the greater Baltimore community to show their purple pride in support of the Baltimore Ravens as they begin their playoff march in the AFC Divisional round this Sunday, Jan. 15, against the Houston Texans.
Companies are encouraged to allow their employees to wear Ravens purple and light their buildings to display support for the team. Participating businesses can upload photos of their team spirit to photos.baltimoreravens.com or by clicking on the "fan photos" tab on the official Ravens Facebook page at www.facebook.com/baltimoreravens. The Ravens will then select the company that demonstrates the most purple pride. Along with receiving Ravens playoff t-shirts, the winning company will receive a visit by mascot Poe and the Ravens Cheerleaders at its next office event.
"The Ravens have made the playoffs for four straight years, and that is a fantastic accomplishment," said Scott Dagenais, President, Greater Baltimore Region, M&T Bank. "Let's show the team how proud we are and how much excitement is building in Baltimore. Businesses, large and small, should hang Ravens banners and light their buildings purple. We should all wear purple and show the Ravens that the entire city is behind them as they start their playoff push."
"I want to challenge our community to show their purple pride and support for the Ravens – big time!" said Mark Fetting, Legg Mason Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer. "Let's really shout it out and be Baltimore Ravens creating a sea of purple throughout the city."
"Congratulations to the Baltimore Ravens as they 'power up' and head into the playoffs on Sunday," said Mayo A. Shattuck III, Chairman, President and CEO of Constellation Energy. "Our employees and their families are proud to support the team and challenge the community on Friday to paint the town purple."
"We are very fortunate to work with an outstanding corporate community that has supported our efforts, both on and off the field, during the regular season and especially in our playoff run," said Edward A. Burchell, Jr., Vice President – Regional Partnerships & Sales for the Baltimore Ravens. "The energy of these companies in turning the city and state purple is exciting and inspiring to our organization and our fans. We will see and feel that passion throughout our playoff run, and I am certain, this Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium."
