The Ravens have brought back undrafted rookie free agent fullback Ricky Ortiz to their practice squad.

Baltimore released guard Jason King, who was added to the team two weeks ago.

Ortiz was an intriguing prospect throughout the summer. A versatile linebacker/fullback out of Oregon State, he flashed impressive blocking and receiving skills reminiscent of departed Pro Bowl fullback Kyle Juszczyk.

Ortiz was placed on the team's practice squad at the end of the preseason, then released with an injury settlement in early October. Now healthy, he's back and ready to contribute in practices.

No word on whether Ortiz returned to focus on his avocado business during his time away from the team.

The Ravens still need to make a transaction on their 53-man roster if they are going to activate running back Danny Woodhead before Sunday's game in Green Bay. Baltimore has nine offensive linemen after claiming offensive tackle Andrew Donnal off waivers.
