The Baltimore Ravens named Anthony Levine Sr. the team's special teams coordinator, head coach Jesse Minter formally announced Wednesday afternoon.

In 2026, Levine Sr. will oversee the Ravens' special teams operation, a group that he previously coached as an assistant (2022 & 2025) and for which he was a standout player (2012-21).
As Baltimore's assistant special teams coach in 2025, he helped the development of several young players, including CB T.J. Tampa Jr. and undrafted rookies LB Jay Higgins IV, S Keondre Jackson and CB Keyon Martin. Tampa Jr. recorded a team-high 17 special teams tackles, while Jackson finished with 13 special teams stops (10 solo), one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one blocked extra point. Additionally, Higgins IV and Martin registered seven and five special teams tackles, respectively.
Working with the kick and punt protection/coverage units, Levine Sr. also played a role in helping P Jordan Stout earn first-team All-Pro honors after finishing with the NFL's No. 1 net (44.9) and No. 3 gross (50.1) averages. Additionally, rookie K Tyler Loop connected on 30-of-34 field goal attempts (88.2%) and 44-of-46 extra point attempts (95.7%), en route to recording a franchise-rookie-record 134 points.
During his two years (2023-24) as an assistant with the Titans, K Nick Folk led the NFL in field goal percentage each season, posting a 95.5% mark (21-of-22) in 2024 and a 96.7% figure (29-of-30) in 2023. LB Luke Gifford recorded a career-high 14 special teams tackles in 2024, ranking fifth among all NFL players. In 2023, P Ryan Stonehouse led the league in gross punting average (53.1), while CB Anthony Kendall was one of three rookies to record at least nine special teams tackles.
Levine Sr. began his coaching career with the Ravens in 2022, serving as a player personnel/coaching assistant following his retirement as an NFL player.
Nicknamed "Co-Cap" for his leadership on special teams, he spent 10 seasons playing in Baltimore (2012-21) after various stints on Green Bay's practice squad over two years (2010-11). Levine Sr. played in 146 games (five starts) – all with Baltimore – totaling 87 tackles (70 solo), five tackles for loss, four sacks, two interceptions, 16 passes defensed, four fumble recoveries and one forced fumble on defense. Additionally, he tallied a franchise-record 62 career special teams tackles. From 2013-20, he appeared in 117 consecutive games, which stands as the fifth-best streak in franchise history. A two-time Super Bowl Champion, he won titles with Baltimore (2012) and while on Green Bay's practice squad (2010).
In 40 collegiate games (24 starts) as a defensive back at Tennessee State (2006-09), Levine Sr. registered 129 tackles, five interceptions, seven passes defensed and one fumble recovery. He earned second-team All-Ohio Valley Conference honors after recording 48 tackles (32 solo), three tackles for loss, two interceptions and one pass defensed as a senior in 2009. Levine Sr. graduated with a degree in psychology.
A native of Abbeville, La., Levine Sr. prepped at R.J. Reynolds (N.C.) High School, where he earned All-State (KR/PR) and All-Conference (WR) honors and was named to the North Carolina High School All-Star West Team as a senior. Levine Sr. has two sons, Anthony Levine Jr. and Alexander.
In 2021, Levine Sr. was honored with a citation from former Maryland State Delegate Chanel Branch for his outstanding commitment to community service. In 2017, he founded the 4Every1 Foundation to help youth and their families build better futures through mentorship, educational opportunities and life-changing experiences.
