HEAD COACH JOHN HARBAUGH
Opening Statement: "Shout out to The Banner and The Sun for being here. Thanks for being here. We appreciate it. I'm proud of the guys because of the physicality and the execution. We had a good week of practice. We wanted to improve from one week to the next, and you could see that in the performance. And what want to do is you want to reap what you sow. There was a lot of good sowing going on all week; guys were working very hard to improve. They were very intentional about what they were trying to accomplish, and they went out there and then let it rip on gameday, and that's what you want to see, and I'm proud of the guys for that. [AT&T Stadium] is a great, fun place to play. [There was] a great crowd [and a] great atmosphere, and so that's a good experience for them, too. And then, of course, Cooper [Rush] coming back [and] playing against his old team and winning [while] playing great football. I thought he played great for us, and [he] got us out and got us moving. We had almost 300 yards in the first half, so that kind of performance [by] all the guys led by Cooper, that was pretty darn impressive."
Do you feel comfortable with K Tyler Loop as your kicker? (Brian Wacker) "Yes, I do. [Tyler Loop] will be the kicker. He has earned it, and he'll get another chance to get back out there next week and kick some more and just keep improving. But, I just appreciate the fact that he wants to make them all, but he had a good night. [He had a] good night on kickoffs, too. We're trying some different kickoffs [and] trying to experiment a little bit with where we're putting the ball, so that was good to see."
I know takeaways have been a focus for the defense. What did it mean to see those tonight? And then, specifically, CB Reuben Lowery, how would you evaluate his game tonight? (Giana Han) "[Reuben Lowery], he's around the ball. He's been doing that the whole [training] camp. To get the turnover on the sudden change, and to get the pick in the end zone right away and play the ball in the tough ... That was not an easy catch, and he goes back and makes that play. [He] showed up numerous times, and also a number of guys did. I thought all the young DBs really stepped up and played well. I'm proud of that whole group. You can mention every one of those names. Those guys all played very well."
Do you have an update on OLB Adisa Isaac? (Giana Han) "Adisa [Isaac] has a dislocated elbow, so he'll be out for a few weeks at least. We'll see the extent of it probably tomorrow. That was his injury."
How pleased were you with RB Rasheen Ali's performance? (Cliff Brown) "I was very pleased. [Rasheen Ali] was bringing it, and the [offensive] line was bringing it, too. So, [you love] to see that, and our quarterbacks were making the various checks the right way. But I thought he was quick, explosive [and had] very good vision. [He] ripped off a number of big runs."
What did you see out of WR Devontez Walker tonight? (Brian Wacker) "I feel like 'Tez' [Devontez Walker] played well. I'll have to watch the tape, honestly, to have a full evaluation. You watch so many things [from the sideline], but I felt like he played well from my perspective. I've just got to watch it more. Going back to the running game, the other running backs, too. [D'Ernest Johnson and Myles Gaskin] came in like a week [or] week and a half ago, and there they are out there running the ball the way they were. They were running [physically], running north. [Myles Gaskin] had a great catch on a conversion up the sideline. I think those guys deserve a lot of credit, too."
You guys have described OLB David Ojabo as a player with some upside. How much of that did you see on display tonight? (Giana Han) "[David Ojabo] played really well tonight. [He was] very physical. He had a really good night from what I saw. I want to see some more, but I thought he played well."
Usually, you guys carry three running backs on the 53-man roster. Can RB Rasheen Ali make that a difficult decision for you guys? (Brian Wacker) "Yes, right now the plan is to carry four [running backs]. That's where we're at right now. Things can change, obviously, but that's my plan at this point. Of course, [executive vice president and general manager] Eric [DeCosta] and I talk about it every day, so I think we're on the same page. But, you know what, we'll have to see. We're not there yet."
Will keeping four running backs impact potential decisions at other positions? (Brian Wacker) "If we keep the four running backs, to your point, it just makes it one less guy that you can take at some other spot, and that'll be the challenge, because there's more than 53 guys that would be good enough to make the team."
I know S Beau Brade has played a lot of snaps on special teams. We saw his defensive snaps decrease tonight. What have you seen from him from him the last game and this game? (Giana Han) "Beau [Brade] is one of those guys. Beau is good enough to make the team, and he's right there with those decisions we're going to have to make. But, I think I would be very comfortable with Beau being out there playing football for us, playing special teams and playing defense. He's only gotten better every single day, but he's proven himself. He plays good football when he is out there."
Just going back to the running backs with RB Keaton Mitchell. I know we haven't seen him out there. Is that a little bit of a lingering issue? (Brian Wacker) "Yes, [Keaton Mitchell] has a little hamstring [injury], so it's just something ... Those have to heal. So, he's working on [it]. I think there's a chance [he can play] this week. [But] if not this week, he'll be fine for the [season] opener."
You mentioned that QB Cooper Rush played well today. What did you see that led to the improved performance today? What were some of the focus points? (Giana Han) "I thought [Cooper Rush] played well last week, like I said. [He] just didn't have as many chances. You've got to be out there [enough to be evaluated], and you've got to have some plays and some throws and things like that. He just played very few plays last week. He's been playing like this all camp. Just the way he played today is the way he's played all camp. He's just very good; he's a very good player. He's accurate [and] on time. He runs the offense [and] runs the show very well. I think he's a good fit with our guys. Our guys like him. That performance is what we expected, and that's what we've seen every day."
CB Keyon Martin had that safety early and had couple of other nice plays. You talk about games like this being opportunities for guys. Is that an Example A of that? (Brian Wacker) "Example A. I put [Keyon Martin] in the category of those young DBs. He's probably the next guy that had huge plays out there. He covered well and had the one penalty on the [illegal contact], I think it was. But, [he] covers well, and again, he's had that kind of camp pretty much all the way through."
RB RASHEEN ALI
On what it means knowing he has a chance to make the 53-man roster knowing the Ravens may carry four running backs: "Honestly, [I'm focused on] being able to contribute to this team in any way I can. [Whether it's on] special teams [or] running the ball, I'm just doing whatever I can to have a good part on the team."
On if he takes pride in playing on special teams: "Oh, yes, for sure. All of the phases [of the game], just contributing as much as I can on all phases of the game and just giving it my best [effort]."
On his what focus was from last game vs. Indianapolis versus tonight's game: "My focus going from that game to this game was just being more patient [and] just trusting [what is] around us more. It's football, [and] things happen. So, that was just my focus – trying to set things up and be more patient."
On working with G/C Corey Bullock tonight: "Corey [Bullock] is my dog. Corey's my dog. He communicates well. He's real. He just lets me know everything that happens pre-snap just as far as protections, the IDs and everything. And even in the locker room, we just talk a lot. That's my guy."
On what it's like seeing C/G Corey Bullock move up the depth chart: "It's amazing. I was actually talking to [Corey Bullock] maybe like two days ago, just telling him how proud I was [of him]. I was like, 'Bro, where did you go to train in the offseason? You look great,' and he would just start laughing. He looked really good."
On how much being in a running back room with this much talent is helping him: "It's amazing. Honestly, just being around the guys, seeing different ways [and] different styles every day, I'm just trying to add it to my game, because last year was a little bit rocky for me [with] being out and just watching [the games.] There were a lot of trials and tribulations for me last year, but [I've been] just learning and watching film. Just being in the room with them, seeing how they think and just talking to them every day helps out a lot."
On if head coach John Harbaugh told him that they would be keeping four running backs: "This is new information [to me]. I just show up every day and play football, honestly."
On his reaction to head coach John Harbaugh saying they will keep four running backs: "I feel like it's just a testament to my hard work in the offseason, and just going into training camp with a new mentality after how it was last year for me and just striving to get better."
On what he focused on in the offseason: "Honestly, my relationship with God. Honestly, I would say that, because last year, mentally, I wasn't really in the best place, I would say. So, I would just say my relationship with God made everything come easier for me on the field, because I was just striving for that relationship, and it literally made football way easier."
K TYLER LOOP
On how it felt to play in Dallas in front of family and friends: "It was fun. It's fun to come back to Dallas, be in this stadium and play the Cowboys. Growing up here, that's something that is really big. Just being able to get in front of my family again was really special. It's just so fun."
On how many of his friends and family came to the game: "I'm going to guess [there were] 30. I had a lot of people come out. Like I said, [I am] just super thankful, [and] it was super fun seeing my family and friends come back around, celebrate and just be here."
On his confidence after a strong performance tonight: "It just builds it. We talk about it all the time; the process [of] getting back. We're trying to match good foot-to-ball contact and swing to our target, staying the kick and everything. It's fun to have a night like tonight, especially where you can just go out and do that over and over, and if you miss one, then you're able to come back because you just start back at the top on your process. I would say that even builds more confidence; when maybe you fall short of your process once, but then you can come back and just go back into that process. It builds those repetitions and just makes you feel more confident and comfortable. It was really cool. It was fun to get a lot of kicks."
On if his missed kick was important for his growth as a kicker in the NFL: "I would say so. It's just one of those things. We have to come earn it every day and also every rep in my position. You want to show up and stay in your process with your guys. Nick [Moore] and Jordan [Stout] do an awesome job for me. My goal is to check off my process every time, strike the ball well and make kicks. If that doesn't happen, [I know that] my name is going to get called again, so you have to be able to step back up, go through it again and earn it. It's fun."
On when he found out he'd earned the kicker position: "I haven't found out. I'm still earning [it]." [Reporter: "John Harbaugh just announced you got the job."] "Oh nice, that's fun. It's special. It's something that [I can] celebrate a little bit with my family [about] just now. I'm just really, really excited to be in Baltimore. It was one of those things – just through the whole draft process, and even the last three months – I've just seen so many things fall into place that ... For me, faith is a big part of my life. Seeing how orchestrated and well things have fallen into place, it just makes me really thankful to be here. I love the staff, [and I] love my teammates. Just being in the city of Baltimore is really fun. I'm excited to be here for that. That's really fun. But you have to earn it every day still. So, it'll be good."
CB REUBEN LOWERY III
On his reaction to his interception against the Dallas Cowboys: "[In preparation for] making those plays, you prepare throughout the week to make those plays, and [involve] bringing a whole group of guys [defense], the 10 guys [and] everybody doing their job on that play. It was awesome to have that play and just to see the guys celebrate [and] celebrating with the people you work so hard with – that's the best part."
On his ability to be able to find the ball during a play: "First and foremost, it is just teammates first. Everybody doing [is] their job. We have a saying in our defense room, 'Consistency equals production.' When we talk about that, we talk about the little things [like] watching film every single day, being consistent in our work ethic, being consistent in the field and letting that be productive on the field in games and practices. [And] always continuing to look to make that play. So that's our motto: 'Consistency equals production.'"
On how his versatility of being able to play different positions helps his knowledge of the game: "It's definitely very important. It allows me to understand the defense better and where everything fits in the defense. So, when I do play one position versus the other, I understand what they're doing. I understand where my help is at. I understand so many more things, and that's been the emphasis from the older guys, the vets. The know more defense [and] know more about the schemes so you can be a more versatile player so you can help out this team. This was about just serving our teammates and getting better."
On how he would evaluate his play in the game: "We have to watch the tape for sure. With [the] first glance, you always think you can be on a very high, high. You can also be on a very low, low. But I like the physicality that we brought. I liked the team effort that we had, and I liked the way that we just went out there. Whenever we did make a mistake, we pushed it back, and we kept going."
On how a performance like tonight's boosts his confidence: "Honestly, it is a joy. It's a joy. It was a blessing just to be in the moment and just to make a play. That moment was awesome. And then you just, again, rally around the guys and to have my family here to enjoy that moment. That's a joy you get from it. It's a very, very big blessing. The confidence, again, comes from the reps, the practices and all that good stuff. Those moments come and go, but all the work you put in up to that moment just increases that confidence."
On if he watched his interception film on the sideline after the play: "No, it doesn't show it in particular. I don't even know what it looks like, honestly, still yet. But hopefully it'll look cool."
QB COOPER RUSH
On if he was happy with the improved passing game tonight: "Yes. It's a lot of fun to get out there, kind of like what Coach [John Harbaugh] said, you get into a rhythm. There are going to be good plays and bad plays in a game, so when you get back out there, and you get to kind of get into a rhythm and play ball; because you do learn in-game, too. [Then you can] get a feel for the defense and things like that. It was a lot of fun, it felt good. We had, I think, over 50 plays. It was pretty sweet."
On what he feels he was able to prove to the team tonight: "I felt like [I was able to prove that I have good] ball control, [I made] a lot of completions [and] keeping the defense off the field. We were really good on third down – that type of stuff. And then you have to make the plays when they are there. I missed one scramble TD [opportunity], but I had another there. So, [we] bounced back after negative plays. I just liked how the guys, together, just kept playing ball tonight."
On the impact working with WR Devontez Walker has had on their on-the-field chemistry: "'Tez' [Devontez Walker] has tons of potential. He can really run. It's fun working with him. [It's been good to] keep building his confidence [by] giving him the ball. Tonight, he was sharp, [and] he was where he was supposed to be when he needed to be, and he made the plays. [He had a] really good third-down catch [and] a couple good ones in zone [coverage]. [He also had a] low catch on a hook route. [He did a good job] coming back to the ball [as well]. He showed some big signs."
On C/G Corey Bullock's performance tonight: "Corey [Bullock] is fantastic. That guy; he runs the show. Especially with young centers, usually with that 'Two' group, I tell those guys, 'Just run the show. Being the center, that's your job.' He's very smart, knows what's going on [and] gets everyone going. I think he leads to how we kind of played tonight – in rhythm, guys are going to the right places [and] things like that – that's all Corey. He's really fun to be around, [and] he asks questions. He's all about it."
On if it meant more to play well against the Dallas Cowboys: "No, but it was cool just to be back with a lot of similar sightlines, throws [and] things like that. It was cool to be back [and] see a lot of my old teammates. Like I've said before, it was a good eight years."
WR DEVONTEZ WALKER
On how he has built chemistry with QB Cooper Rush during practice: "It has been really good. With [Cooper Rush] putting his trust in me and stuff like that every day. We [are] just building our rapport every day, and it shows when we got out there. So [with] the chemistry, it's been building throughout this whole [training] camp."
On how his preparation in the offseason and his comfortability in 2025 are different from last year: "[It was] mostly this offseason ran the whole route tree with my trainer. It was a big thing, just being able to run the whole [route] tree and get comfortable with that. Then getting more comfortable with the playbook and stuff like that. The more comfortable I got with that, the faster I could go out there and play and not have to think. So, I feel like that was the biggest improvement – the route tree and being in the playbook."
On what tips have been given to him from the deep wide receiver room: "[The veteran wide receivers have] helped me out a lot. They never hesitate when I have a question or something like that. When I see them do something out there; I'll try to go do the same thing they do. 'D-Hop' [DeAndre Hopkins], since he's been here, he just told me, 'Just go out there and play.' He's a guy who's done it for 13 years. So he just said [to have] limited thinking, [and] just go out there and play. 'Bate' [Rashod Bateman] is the same way. He just [said], 'Go out there and do all you can.' [With the] coaches, they [are] going to coach you, but outside of that, but at the end of the day, you have to go out there and do it. So those were some [of the] little things [that] they told me to help me out with."
On what he is looking to accomplish in the preseason to prepare for the regular season: "Right now, the biggest thing is probably scoring a touchdown. I haven't had a touchdown [in] the preseason yet, so that's the biggest thing. But just continuing the momentum I have going on [in] practice and these games. That's the biggest thing."
