The Ravens are expected to hire Zach Grossi as their tight ends coach, adding another offensive coach from the Sean Payton tree, per CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz.
Grossi spent the past four seasons with the Denver Broncos, rising from offensive quality control to pass game specialist for the past two years.
He spent two years coaching alongside now Ravens Offensive Coordinator Declan Doyle and three years with reported Ravens Senior Offensive Assistant Joe Lombardi.
Grossi previously was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Southern University for two years. He also spent six seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2014-2019), starting in scouting before moving to coaching.
He hasn't been a tight ends coach since 2013 when he was a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Concord University, where he played quarterback. However, Grossi did coach the tight ends at the Senior Bowl in 2023.
Now Grossi will reportedly lead a tight end room showcasing veteran Mark Andrews. Behind him are question marks, however, with Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar both pending free agents, as well as fullback Patrick Ricard.
Grossi replaces George Godsey, who moved on to become the offensive coordinator at Georgia Tech after four seasons coaching the Ravens' tight ends under John Harbaugh.
Grossi is a cancer survivor, as he was diagnosed with a yolk sac tumor in October of 2024 and underwent chemotherapy treatments before returning to the sideline cancer-free.
