Reports: George Godsey to Become Georgia Tech Offensive Coordinator

Godsey Report

A member of the Ravens' offensive coaching staff is reportedly set to depart.

Tight Ends Coach George Godsey is finalizing a deal to become Georgia Tech's offensive coordinator, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel

The 47-year-old Godsey is in his fourth season with the Ravens and has coached in the NFL since 2011. He was the Houston Texans' offensive coordinator for two seasons (2015-16) and was a co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach with the Miami Dolphins in (2021).

The Ravens have had one of the NFL's top tight end groups during Godsey's tenure featuring Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar.

Godsey joined Head Coach John Harbaugh's staff in 2022 before Greg Roman's final season as offensive coordinator. Godsey has spent the past three seasons working with current Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken.

Godsey would be returning to his roots at Georgia Tech, where he played college football and was the starting quarterback for two seasons. He led the Yellow Jackets to two bowl appearances and finished his college career as the most accurate passer in Georgia Tech history with a 63.3 % completion percentage.
