Joe Flacco's Knee Recovery As Good As Doctors Have Ever Seen

All signs are positive as quarterback Joe Flacco goes through the recovery process for a torn ACL and MCL.

The 31-year-old quarterback has been a mainstay at the Under Armour Performance Center this offseason as he undergoes daily rehab sessions, and the medical staff is impressed with how he is recovering.

"I've heard he's attacking his knee as well or better than anybody they've ever seen," Head Coach John Harbaugh said at the NFL scouting combine.

Flacco suffered the injury Nov. 23 against the St. Louis Rams and missed the final six games of the season. It was the first time Flacco had missed a game in his eight-year career.

The expectation has been that Flacco should be ready to return to the field when training camp begins in late July, and he certainly appears to be on track for that goal.

Flacco ditched the crutches just a couple of weeks after the injury, and he had no noticeable limp when he took the field during a Super Bowl ceremony earlier this month.

"He's really getting after it and he's had no setbacks," Harbaugh said. "He's working his tail off."
