Packers quarterback Jordan Love will be out Saturday night versus the Ravens, the team announced Friday.
That means a likely battle of backup quarterbacks in a critical Week 17 game. Malik Willis, who has dealt with a right shoulder and illness this week, is expected to start for the Packers.
With Lamar Jackson (back contusion) doubtful to play, Tyler Huntley would be in line to start for the Ravens unless Jackson recovers in time.
Willis played well in relief of Love last week in an overtime loss to the Chicago Bears, completing nine of 11 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown. This will be his sixth career start in four seasons.
Head Coach John Harbaugh said the Packers run the same offense with both quarterbacks, and that's how they've been preparing all week, not knowing who would be under center.
"Malik has done a great job. I think he's had a good year when he's played. He's very elusive back there. He throws a good ball. His timing and his mechanics have really looked good this year," Harbaugh said.
"So, he's obviously a very dangerous quarterback. He looked good in this last game when he played. So, we'll be very much very respectful of him or whoever's back there playing quarterback."
The Ravens need to win in Lambeau Field and a Steelers loss in Cleveland on Sunday to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Packers have clinched a playoff spot but are still in the hunt for the NFC North crown.
