The Ravens had a bit of a scare Wednesday when Lamar Jackson left training camp practice early with medical personnel.

However, a team spokesman said after practice that Jackson had his foot stepped on and is fine.

With about 40 minutes remaining in practice, Jackson walked into the Under Armour Performance Center training room with Chief Medical Officer Dr. Andrew Tucker, Head Certified Athletic Trainer Adrian Dixon, and others.

Jackson had been inadvertently knocked down on a previous play but remained in practice to take more snaps before exiting.

Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken said he didn't see what happened, and wide receiver Tylan Wallace said he didn't know what was going on.

"I was thinking like, 'Oh, he's probably just resting his arm or something like that,'" Wallace said. "Obviously, we'll keep him in our prayers and everything and hope he's doing great. But with Lamar being Lamar, he'll be back before we know it."

Here are more notes from Wednesday's practice:

  • Second-year cornerback T.J. Tampa made two interceptions, both on Cooper Rush. The first was tipped at the line of scrimmage and Tampa dove under it. Tampa had tight coverage on Anthony Miller on the second one and cut off a back shoulder throw. Defensive Coordinator Zach Orr said his staff has been challenging Tampa to play more aggressively and it paid off. "We're happy with T.J.," Orr said.
  • The Jackson-Devontez Walker connection was hot early with back-to-back completions at the start of practice as the offense quickly marched down the field in a hurry-up situation.
  • The pass rush got after it Wednesday, as rookie Mike Green, outside linebackers Tavius Robinson and David Ojabo, safety Sanoussi Kane, and others would have gotten sacks.
  • Rookie wide receiver LaJohntay Wester made a full-extension diving catch near the end zone on a deep, high throw from Jackson. Wester crashed hard to the turf but held on.
  • Miller made an impressive leaping, twisting catch also near the front pylon.
  • If Defensive Coordinator Zach Orr isn't quite as animated on the sideline during Saturday's preseason finale, it's because he strained his calf. Orr hobbled to and from the post-practice podium.
