The Ravens made 11 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft and added to their already talented roster. Each draft pick has a unique story off the football field.

Here are some fun facts about each Ravens draft pick, with much of this information coming from The Beast by Dane Brugler of The Athletic:

S Malaki Starks, Georgia (Rd. 1, 27)

  • Real name is William Malaki Starks
  • Has a fiancé, Savanna Jackson, who he has been close to since fourth grade
  • From grades three through six, his family was homeless and bounced between temporary solutions
  • First love was basketball because his older sister, Mariah, played
  • Was a basketball player and track athlete in high school, winning the state championship in long jump despite not having a long jump coach
  • Played quarterback (amongst other positions) in high school and is a longtime Lamar Jackson fan
  • Wears No. 24 to honor his cousin, who passed away
  • Was a backup punt returner and played full-time on punt coverage at Georgia
  • Overlapped with Ravens Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken at Georgia, where they won a national championship together in 2022
  • His uncle, Jerome Williams, played tight end at Clemson

OLB Mike Green, Marshall (Rd. 2, 59)

  • Started at the University of Virginia before transferring to Marshall
  • Led the FBS with 17 sacks last season
  • Played with Ravens running back Rasheen Ali at Marshall
  • Turned down lucrative NIL offers to stay at Marshall for his final season
  • Played multiple positions in high school and was also on the wrestling team

OL Emery Jones Jr., LSU (Rd. 3, 91)

  • Wore No. 50 because of his father, who passed away in 2021
  • Was a standout basketball player in high school
  • Earned an invite to the 2021 Under Armour All-American Game for football
  • Attended LSU to stay close to home

LB Teddye Buchanan, Cal (Rd. 4, 129)

  • Was the high school varsity starting quarterback as a junior; a broken thumb sidelined him, but he wrapped it into a club and started playing linebacker because he didn't want to miss time
  • Transferred to from UC-Davis to Cal (his dream school), where he played with his younger brother, Tobey Weydemuller
  • Known as a talented artist who enjoys drawing

OT Carson Vinson, Alabama A&M (Rd. 5, 141)

  • Five-year starter at left tackle for Alabama A&M, never missing a game
  • Played basketball in high school
  • Played his entire high school senior season without a Div. I offer
  • Despite having other Div. I interest if he entered the transfer portal, he stayed at Alabama A&M because he wanted to stay loyal to the school that believed in him

CB Bilhal Kone, Western Michigan (Rd. 6, 178)

  • Played junior college to start his career due to his grades; eventually transferred to Indiana State then Western Michigan
  • His mother sent him to live with relatives in Ivory Coast before he returned to the United States at age 6
  • Was drafted on the birthday (April 26th) of his late younger brother, Hamza
  • Was homeless for a time and moved in with the family of NBA players Tre (Bulls) and Tyus Jones (Suns)
  • His older brother, Mohamed, plays professional basketball in Australia
  • Was coached by former NFL defensive back Tyrone Carter in high school
  • Was the kicker and punter in high school; he also played two seasons of high school basketball

K Tyler Loop, Arizona (Rd. 6, 186)

  • Made a school-record 62-yard field goal
  • Ordered a vintage Ravens T-shirt to have ready if they drafted him
  • Was a soccer player and track athlete in high school; his father, Steve, persuaded him to try kicking
  • Got engaged to his fiancée, Julia, in March of 2025; the two met at Arizona and went to "Golf N' Stuff" for their first date
  • Notes his strong Christian faith

WR LaJohntay Wester, Colorado (Rd. 6, 203)

  • Transferred from Florida Atlantic University, where he has the career program record for receptions
  • Had 326 career catches, No. 6 all-time in FBS history
  • Signed with current Ravens Running Backs Coach Willie Taggart when he was the head coach at FAU
  • Caught a Hail Mary from Shedeur Sanders against Baylor

DT Aeneas Peebles, Virginia Tech (Rd. 6, 210)

  • Transferred to Virginia Tech from Duke
  • His father, William, coached Peebles in football throughout his life
  • His mother, Gia, became the first Black woman to play softball at Cal State Long Beach, helping them to four-straight College World Series appearances
  • His grandfather, Doug Wilkerson, was a first-round pick in 1970 and played 15 seasons (three Pro Bowls) in the NFL at defensive end and offensive guard; Wilkerson is in the Chargers Hall of Fame
  • Nicknamed "Fub" because he was fat and chubby as a baby
  • Played baseball (right field and third base) in high school

CB Robert Longerbeam, Rutgers (Rb. 6, 212)

  • Went to T.C. Williams High – the school portrayed in the movie "Remember the Titans" – in Alexandria, Virginia, where he played for his father, Jimmy
  • Voted homecoming king as a senior in high school
  • Ran a 10.81 100-meter dash in high school
  • Has a degree in criminal justice; he is pursuing a second degree in criminology and wants to work for the FBI once he's done playing

G Garrett Dellinger, LSU (Rd. 7, 243)

  • Born in Maryland and lived there until he was 5
  • His mother, Stephanie, was the Gatorade Basketball Player of the Year in Maryland
  • Former Michigan Head Coach Jim Harbaugh, the brother of Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh, offered him a scholarship coming out of high school
