The Ravens have signed defensive lineman Taven Bryan to their 53-man roster.
Bryan takes the place of rookie inside linebacker Jay Higgins IV, who has been placed on injured reserve with a knee injury.
A former first-round pick in 2018, Bryan is in his eighth season and signed with Baltimore's practice squad on Sept. 24. He has played 34.9% of the defensive snaps during the Ravens' three-game winning streak. Bryan was elevated for the third time in Week 10 and needed to join the 53-man roster to be eligible for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns.
"He's played well in all three games he's been out there," Head Coach John Harbaugh said. "He brings a lot of energy. He's a fast-switch kind of defensive lineman. He had a couple quarterback hits in the last game. I think he's really been a blessing for us to have."
Baltimore also elevated linebacker Chandler Martin and cornerback Amani Oruwariye to face Cleveland, positioning both to see their first game action in 2025.
A fifth-round pick in 2019, Oruwariye has made 40 NFL starts and has 10 career interceptions playing for the Detroit Lions (2019-22), Jacksonville Jaguars (2023) and Dallas Cowboys (2024). Oruwariye was signed to the practice squad on Oct. 1 and will add depth to the cornerback rotation with Pro Bowl cornerback Marlon Humphrey (finger) ruled out for Sunday.
Martin is an undrafted rookie from Memphis who was part of final roster cuts after spending training camp and preseason with Baltimore. He will add depth at linebacker and special teams in place of Higgins, who has been a regular on special teams for Baltimore this season.
Veteran pass rusher Carl Lawson was not elevated, with rookie outside linebacker Mike Green (ankle) questionable to face the Browns after not practicing on Friday.
